Maximum Kick with Minimum Impact: Explorations of Low-Carbon Building Systems

Join AIACV’s Custom Residential Architect’s Network (CRAN) and Committee on the Environment (COTE) for a presentation with David Arkin, AIA, LEED AP, exploring Low-Carbon Building Systems.

David is one of the founders and current Directors of the California Straw Building Association (CASBA).  He is past-President of Architects, Designers, and Planners for Social Responsibility (ADPSR) and served for twelve years as a board member of the Solar Living Institute (SLI).

He is a native of Wisconsin and earned his B. Arch. from the University of Minnesota, and has taught and lectured on the subject of sustainable design for over twenty years.  David and his wife Anni Tilt are the Principals of  the award-winning ecological design firm Arkin Tilt Architects.

Recent Projects Included:  Esalen Institute Lodge Renovation & Expansion, El Cerrito Natural Grocery Annex, Carmel Green Classroom, and many others.
