Experience Architecture 2017

The sixth annual Experience Architecture public outreach event ran from Wednesday, September 20th to Sunday, September 24th. We had a fantastic five days celebrating architecture, and providing opportunities for those both in, and outside of the profession, to “experience” architecture and the built environment. The most popular event this year was our 75th Anniversary Gala & Design Awards, followed by the Tour d’ Architecture Bike Ride.

Sacramento has changed a lot in the last 75 years. Since 1942, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Central Valley Chapter has worked to promote good design and comradery, helping to shape our skyline, promote smart city growth and create a valuable urban environment that we enjoy today. We were thrilled to celebrate our 75th anniversary during this year’s AIACV “Experience Architecture” event. This was a great opportunity to engage with community, area architects and be inspired by Sacramento design.
