ADA In A Day: Accessibility for California Healthcare Facilities – 2022

Need ADA credits? Attendees taking any of our scheduled courses in 2022 will receive a total of 5 ADA credits to meet their California licensing requirement. AIA members will receive 5 Health Safety Welfare (HSW) learning units.
Course Description:
This seminar is an advanced-level class which will present a methodical analysis of the accessibility requirements for California Healthcare Facilities of the 2019 California Building Code. The seminar will use case-studies of actual projects, floor plans and photographs to clarify the code requirements as they specifically relate to healthcare facilities (both HCAI and non-HCAI application). The seminar will be broken into six parts: Transfers to Medical Equipment, Accessibility Scoping for Healthcare Facilities (Chapter 11B- Division 2), HCAI Interpretations – Detailed Analysis, Technical Requirements for Healthcare Facilities (Chapter 11B – Section 805), Special Situations in Healthcare and 2022 Code Changes.
TIME: 9 am – 3 pm (1 hour lunch break at noon)
COST: AIA Members $50, Non-members $100
