AIACV/SMUD Transforming How We Build Series – Meeting Climate Change Goals with FastOx® Gasification

Please note that the SMUD + AIACV year-long series continues! The series is dedicated to high performance, regenerative design, with presentations covering carbon neutral and net zero architecture, social equity and other innovations that transform ideas and processes to address climate change.

The August presentation will feature Meredith Roberts, Sierra Energy and Dr. Ramin Yazdani, Integrated Waste Management, who will discuss Yolo County’s Path to Zero Waste. Over the past two decades Yolo County Division of Integrated Waste Management has worked on a variety of solid waste management research projects in order to develop sustainable waste management practices in Yolo County. This has resulted in practical projects that reduce green-house gas emission and lower the long-term risk of landfills, while producing renewable energy from waste. These sustainable practices have results in higher renewable energy production and lowered cost for the Yolo County communities.
