The AIA Central Valley Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) is excited to step-up and assist Mustard Seed School in creating design solutions for three identified areas at the school: the Outreach Cottage, the Living Room and/or the Backpack Room.
We invite architects of all backgrounds, associates, allied members and students to participate. The first event will be a charrette to brainstorm design solutions. The next event will be a hands-on build day to integrate designs into the school. The build day will take place during the Chapter’s annual Experience Architecture Public Outreach Event, and will include members of the general public.

ABOUT MUSTARD SEED SCHOOL
Mustard Seed School was established in 1989 to help meet the needs of homeless children. Many school age children do not attend school because of their homelessness; some lack immunizations, birth certificates, or other documents, some are in transit, and almost all lack a support system. In spite of their situation, these children are eager to learn and to be accepted. Mustard Seed School fills this need in a warm, inviting and supportive environment.
