After networking, updates on Emerging Professional activities planned this year, Chando’s Tacos and beer from Bike Dog — each team was assigned one of Sacramento’s “iconic buildings” and was challenged to build it out of playing cards and a small stash of “supplies”– in under an hour. Projects were judged based on how recognizable they were, design execution/scale, use of materials and team collaboration.
Many thanks to Board Vice President Cody Carpino, AIA for serving as our judge. With so many amazing builds, it was a difficult decision, but the “Dreyfuss + Blackjack” team, with their re-creation of The Governor’s Mansion, ultimately took the winning prize.
