A huge thank you to everyone who attended last Thursday’s memorable Celebration of the Profession event at The Frederic in downtown Sacramento! The event was a festive celebration in recognition of our region’s newly licensed architects, and each was presented with a special certificate from AIA California and a pair of “official” architect’s glasses in recognition of their hard work in reaching this milestone.
A highlight of the event were heartfelt speeches from three Emerging professionals: Ginger Thompson, AIA from Dreyfuss + Blackford Architecture, the AIA CA Academy of Emerging Professionals Associate Director North, and AIACV Associate Director Felicia Reyes, Assoc. AIA from Arch Nexus and EP Director Curtis Frank, AIA from Hausman Architecture, who spoke about what the AIA has meant to them on their journey in the profession. We were also thrilled to finally introduce the 2022 Board of Directors and honor our 2021 Chapter President Paul Menard, AIA for his service.
