CRAN

CRAN-LOGO
The Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) Knowledge Community develops knowledge and information to benefit architects who are engaged in, or who are interested in learning more about, custom residential practice.
CRAN presents information and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and expertise to promote the professional development of its members via discussion forums, national symposia and conventions, publications, and local activities.

AIA Central Valley  CRAN Mission Statement
HOUSES MATTER:

SUPPORT:  It is our mission to support all architects whose practices focus on custom residential work including new homes, remodels, additions, and conversions.  CRAN addresses the unique issues related to custom residential practice.  As a forum, we provide for an exchange of ideas, resources and more that affect the residential practitioner.

ADVOCATE:  Through vehicles such as articles in national publications, position papers, and working more closely with the AIA and other appropriate organizations, CRAN is finding new avenues to advocate for architecture that is livable, sustainable and that people can anchor them selves in.  We want to demonstrate that design is within the economic reach of many people.

INSPIRE, INFORM AND EXPLAIN:  Through programs and events, a website at AIA.org and other venues, CRAN strives to provide continuing educational opportunities for its members, the general public, and our allied team members for all aspects of the residential architecture practice.
