The idea of the Codes Conversation program is simple: bring together Code Officials with Design Professionals once a year to discuss how we can work together more efficiently in the arena of codes and permits. These unsettling times makes this collaboration and cooperation more important than ever !
This year’s program will focus on what we’ve learned over the last year about the ‘new normal’ – and what opportunities and constraints may lie ahead as we shape the sustainable and resilient built environment for the future of our communities. How can we increase efficiency and effectiveness on ‘both sides of the counter’ when it comes to pre-development, permit processing, and field inspections?
This program gives you an opportunity to virtually meet your local building officials – including both the City and County of Sacramento, as well as other regional jurisdictions. Please join us for brief code official comments followed by open discussion, and an ample questions and answers session.
If you have specific technical questions for our panel of experts, please send them in advance of the program via e-mail to our moderator, Michael F. Malinowski, FAIA, Applied Architecture, at [email protected]
