Presentation Summary

As multi-family developers face the ever-challenging environment of securing funding sources there are significant tax credits available to help close pro forma gaps. Federal tax credits of up to $5,000 per unit are available for residential projects that meet the energy efficiency requirements established by the EPA Energy Star and DOE Zero Energy Home Ready Home (ZERH) certifications. The design and construction requirements to attain these significant tax credits are not much above the existing California building code. Attendees will learn the required design and construction elements and the certification process to earn these significant tax credits.
