Moderator: Celia Yniguez, Program Manager, Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency
You’re invited to a moderated panel discussion on the City of Sacramento’s proposed change to reform the standard single-family zone through the City’s 2040
General Plan Update process that would allow for a greater variety of housing types to be integrated into existing detached single-unit neighborhoods. A
conversation format will explore the potential implications to residential development; housing equity; the makeup of Sacramento neighborhoods; missing middle housing types or small attached multi-unit housing choices such as duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes; and increasing the supply of aordable housing. Similar attempts in the cities of Portland and Minneapolis have been met with mixed results. What might it mean for Sacramento?
