Architecture Matters Design Forum: Light & Shadow

December 7, 2021 @ 5:45 pm - 7:30 pm

Another virtual edition of our beloved Arch Matters series–focusing on light and shadow!

Join hosts Kris Barkley, AIA , Sugra Panvelwala, Assoc. AIA, Yevgenia Watts, AIA, and Saxon Sigerson, AIA for another virtual edition, of Arch Matters. Our evening of discussion will be centered on the use of light and shadow in architecture.

Use of natural light is an important tool for architects and if captured correctly, this tool can create a transcendent experience that elevates buildings well beyond being just a form of shelter. How can light truly effect our experiences? Is the use of shadow equally important as a counterpoint? We will explore these questions and more in our next Architecture Matters. We will have a short presentation followed by an open discussion led by Kris Barkley, AIA.
