Architecture Matters Design Forum: Wood in Architecture

December 8, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Our discussion will be centered on use of wood as an essential design element in the creation of expressive architectural concepts.

Join hosts Amanda Harpstead, AIA, Saxon Sigerson, AIA, and Kris Barkley, AIA for another virtual edition, of Arch Matters. Our evening of discussion will be centered on use of wood as an essential design element in the creation of expressive architectural concepts.

Recent advances in wood technology have opened a door to new possibilities in design and construction of highly resilient, yet warm and inviting structures. How do these new technologies contrast and compare to historic uses of wood and has wood become a more relevant material in today’s world? We will explore these questions and more in our next Architecture Matters. We will have a short presentation followed by an open discussion led by Amanda Harpstead, AIA.
