OVERVIEW: Join us for an exclusive tour and talk at the renowned Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, where you’ll delve into the groundbreaking research and scientific advancements shaping the future of the wine, brewing, and food industries. We’ll tour the institute’s state-of-the-art LEED Platinum Certified facilities, used for both student training in winemaking and research, the most advanced and the most sustainable winery in the world, serving as a model for academic institutions and commercial wineries across the globe. You’ll gain insights into the latest discoveries in wine and brewing sciences, as well as food science research that is influencing industry practices worldwide. The event will also feature a wine tasting session and a selection of small bites, allowing you to experience firsthand the results of this pioneering research.

Venue & Parking:

The event will be at the Silverado Vineyards Sensory Theater at the Robert Mondavi Institute, Sensory Building. WE WILL MEET IN THE SENSORY BUILDING COURTYARD.

Parking is available at the Gateway Parking Structure. Parking payment is enforced on weekdays. There are three options for parking payment:

  1. UC Davis uses AggiePark via the AMP app – please be sure to download the app ahead of time and set up your profile. Select the zone which you parked using the map or icon in the top right corner of the app. This is the preferred and easiest method.
  2. If you do not have a smartphone to download the app, you can also sign up for an account online and follow the steps on the website: https://aimsmobilepay.com/
  3. Alternatively, permit machines in the Gateway Parking Structure accept credit cards. You will need to enter your license plate number into the machine to purchase a permit. Machines can be found by the Manetti Shrem Museum. In front and in the back.
