Framing the Valley: A Conversation with Ogrydziak & Lubell (EA 2021)

October 5, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

A thoughtful and engaging conversation celebrating the distinct and vibrant Central Valley region.

Award-winning Davis based architect, author, and artist, Maria Ogrydziak, AIA joins Sam Lubell, esteemed architectural journalist for the New York Times, LA Times, Architectural Digest and author of ten books about architecture, to discuss how the best architecture is “inextricably woven with its landscape, its culture and its inhabitants”– while reflecting on local projects designed by Ogrydziak, featured in her new book, “Framing the Valley.”

Experience Architecture is a public-outreach event designed to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture. The 2021 festival runs October 1-10th, celebrating 10 years over 10 days with 10 events.
