As many of you know, over the last 10 years, Experience Architecture has been the Chapter’s time to celebrate the profession, provide public outreach on how architects create the built environment and highlight Sacramento’s architectural identity within our communities.
In 2022, Experience Architecture will be held on the consecutive dates of October 7-16th. The event takes months of planning and coordination, and will include a mix of in-person and virtual events centered around this year’s theme of education and the ‘The Why Behind Design.’
This important week would not be possible without the support of our generous and dedicated sponsors, many of whom have been with us since the very first Experience Architecture! Special props to our media sponsor, Comstock’s Magazine, who puts out a fantastic guide each year with details on each event as well as an opportunity to celebrate the various sponsors.
Here are four suggested ways to support this year’s event:
- Sponsor an event
Support your AIA colleagues who create and run events for this program by sponsoring at the $1,000 or $500 level. Click here for the sponsorship packet and form. - Participate in an event
Open your doors during Firm Open House night, submit a photograph to the Architectura Obscura Photography Competition, share your work as part of Desgn|Acccess Open Project tours and enter a drawing into the chapter’s inaugural Architecture Coloring Book - Take out an advertisement in the Comstock’s Guide
With a reach of 80,000 readers, share your firm and projects within the Experience Architecture event guide, inserted into the October issue. AIA members receive a discount of 15% off, and if you sponsor and advertise, you’ll receive 20% off (10% and 15% off, respectively). Click here for a flyer with all the details. - Attend the events!
When registration opens in September, plan to sign up for some events for yourself, as well as share the Experience Architecture landing page with your firm, colleagues and friends: aiacv.org/exparch/ Whether you join the Tour d’Architecture Bike Ride, watch the desigNarrative presentation, participate with your children in the kid’s activity or another event — you will enjoy yourself and learn something!
