“What Are Firm Principals Looking For?” – EP Professional Development Series 1 of 3

Join us for the first our 2018 EP Professional Development Series! We’ve invited a diverse panel of AIA architects from different sized firms and backgrounds to share their thoughts and experiences related to:

  • resumes / impressing HR
  • how pre-screening works (getting past the gate-keeper_
  • preparing for the interview (portfolios, etc)
  • personal attributes to include on resumes
  • how to dress for an interview / appearance
  • what questions to ask, and not ask during the interview
  • value of staying put versus value of searching for a new job
  • how to grow in a firm
  • what attributes make you a leader and valued employee

Our panelists have been asked to bring their Human Resources staff to join as well. This casual, fun, interactive panel will help grow your soft skills now and throughout your professional career!

Panelists:

  • David Mogavero, AIA, Senior Principal, Mogavero Architects
  • Laura Knauss, AIA, Principal/Practice Leader, Lionakis
  • Paul Woehl, AIA, Design Principal, DGA
  • Alicia Moniz, AIA, Owner, Moniz Architecture
  • Moderated by: Cody Carpino, AIA, Williams + Paddon

Look out for the other two events in our 2018 EP Professional Development Series: “Presentation Skills” on June 28th and “Leadership + Firm Culture” on November 8th.
